More Washington Double-Speak from Joe Wilson

Wilson Denies Abramoff Contribution Then Admits Connection

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Despite public records and news articles that prove Joe Wilson’s financial connection to convicted felon Jack Abramoff, Congressman Joe Wilson denied financial ties to the disgraced lobbyist who went to jail for bribing public officials.  Later, Wilson acknowledged that he had, in fact, received the $5,000 contribution.

Rob Miller for Congress Communications Director Patrick Norton called on Congressman Wilson to end his double-speak and come clean on his financial connections to Jack Abramoff.

“Joe Wilson is demonstrating again that he represents everything that’s wrong with Washington,” Norton said.  “He might try to trick South Carolina voters with his Washington double-speak, but Joe Wilson cannot refute public records that show his financial ties to convicted felon Jack Abramoff.”
