Most Abramoff Associates Have Gone to Jail, Lost, or Retired

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Today Marine Corps combat veteran Rob Miller called on Congressman Joe Wilson to come clean on his association with disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff, who was convicted of bribing public officials and buying their votes.

Congressman Wilson received $5,000 from the Abramoff-represented Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and has repeatedly refused to return the tainted contribution.

Notably, most of the elected officials entangled in the Abramoff scandal have either gone to jail, lost re-election, or retired.

“By taking money from convicted felon Jack Abramoff, Congressman Joe Wilson is showing us that he represents everything that’s wrong with Washington,” Miller said.  ”Congressman Wilson should return his dirty money and come clean on his ties to Abramoff.”
