Denise Arpels established D & A Consultancy Ltd in 1989 which is now known as My Credit Management. Initially focused on the clothing industry, MCM realised a gap in the market existed for a credit management service, which worked as a stand alone, out of house function or integrated within an existing credit department. Soon after launching MCM, many fashion houses including Jac Tissot, BRP Rextrek and Van Gills began to use the service of MCM and the company grew.

In 1993 MCM moved into the transport and vehicle industry collecting for a national windscreen company and saw MCM establish itself as a multi industrial credit management service. From this time MCM has collected, organised and built credit management systems in just about every industry in the world.

In 1997 Daniel Arpels F.I.C.M joined MCM as Managing Director and took control of the company. Bringing with him a wealth of experience and a host of new clients including Gabicci, Marc O Polo, Ben Sherman, Peter Werth, Pierre Cardin and many more, MCM became a natural resource for companies who required expert credit management. Denise Arpels became Chair in late 1997.

In 1998 following an expansion programme, MCM moved the operation to their now head office in Norfolk.

2000 saw MCM launch their International Collection Department. Having collected bad debts in most Euopean, American and Asian countries.

Daniel Arpels Jnr joined MCM in 2004 as CEO. This saw the launch of MCM Business & Corporate Development Division. The new department offered clients a host of services including Brand Development, Marketing Analysis and Implementation as well as POS Solutions all under the MCM brand. Since launching the Division MCM has worked with countless clients within many industries but continues to focus on the clothing & leisure sector. Since this time the division has completed projects for Punch Taverns PLC, Green King & GRS Inns (Now London Town PLC) and continues to grow its list of services and client base.

In 2007 MCM added the Financial & Management Accounting Division to the company. Offering services including sales & purchase ledger, VAT & TAX, Nominal Ledger and Profit & Loss Balance Sheets, MCM has now products and services to help companies grow their business. Focusing on commercial accounting the FMA Division is headed by Will Farnell, an experienced commercial accountant leaving clients in the piece of mind that their company is in expert hands.

D & A Consultancy Limited was rebranded MCM Inc Limited in 2008.

Daniel Arpels Snr is a member of the prestigious Van Cleef & Arpels family, famous for its luxury jewellery and perfume house. Having spent most of his younger life travelling, Daniel joined Northwood Publication, part of the Thompson Group in 1973 within its Sales Ledger department.

Having spent 4 years with the company and always having an interest in credit management, Daniel joined the Tern Shirts Group as Group Credit Manager in 1977. His time at Tern Shirts gave Daniel the opportunity to gain invaluable experience with credit management and to work with Richard Lawson & Peter Barden before moving onto Gabicci in 1982. A chance meeting between Daniel and then Gabicci Chairman Jack Soffier saw Daniel become credit manager of Gabicci, at the time only having a 2 million GBP turnover.

In 1984 Daniel became an M.I.C.M (Member of the Institute of Credit Management) and group credit manager of Gabicci after the successful acquisition of Gransden International Ltd from David Bendal. In 1985 Gabicci became Gabicci PLC before being acquired by the Helena Group PLC in 1993 taking the groups turnover to in excess of 350 Million GBP. At this time Daniel, as group credit manager, was responsible for brands including, Marc O Polo, Coconut Club and many more.

In 1985 Daniel founded and became Chairman of The Clothing Association (CLASS) and established over 250 leading clothing companies as members. For his contribution to the credit management & clothing industry, Daniel was awarded the F.I.C.M (Fellow of the Institute of Credit Management) in 1991 an achievement that Daniel is so very proud of. As part of CLASS, Daniel worked with many receivers and liquidators including Poppleton & Appleby and Taylor & Gothem. Many members of CLASS have since joined MCM as valued clients.

In 1997 Daniel joined D & A Consultancy Limited, now MCM Inc Limited, as Managing Director & shareholder. After the collapse of Helena PLC in 1998, Daniel was asked to collect the remaining bad debts for the receivers. Since this time Daniel has worked with the leading menswear fashion houses, stabilising cash-flow and increasing sales turnovers using his unique approach to credit management.

Since 1997, Daniel has been instrumental to the success and development of MCM and continues to work closely with all divisions of the company ensuring the long term success of the firm.
